Colombo, Sri Lanka, October 29, 2020: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka will conduct its second Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators Course for 2020 next month. It will be held online.
The Sri Lanka NOC has called for applications for the four-day course on November 14, 16, 18 and 19. An International Olympic Committee-recognised certificate will be awarded to participants. The course fee is Rs. 10,000 (US$55) and the deadline for applications is November 5.
Applicants from National Sports Federations are specially invited to join the course as the Sri Lanka NOC considers the completion of this course as a mandatory requirement when selecting team officials – managers and coaches – for international games.
Also eligible to apply are lecturers in sports science and management and physical education, PE teachers, sports administrators attached to the Armed Forces and Police, sports administrators from provincial councils and government organisations, as well as other individuals who are involved in sports.
Applicants will need to have the following qualifications to join the course:
(a) active involvement of sport administration
(b) good educational background at least up to GCE Advanced Level
(c) good command of English
(d) good sports background
(e) IT literacy
