Doha, Qatar, October 27, 2020: Qatar Olympic Committee’s second edition of the Padel Tournament 2020 got underway on Tuesday, October 27, with the participation of 304 players, and will run until Saturday.
The competition, which will be held at the Al Sadd Sports Club in Doha, will be divided into three categories: eight teams in Division A; 48 in B and 96 in C.
The second edition of QOC Padel Tournament will be held under the sponsorship of Vodafone Qatar, Sports Corner and Al Salam International Group in addition to Al Meera as an official sponsor.
Padel is a sport that combines the best elements of tennis and squash and is played on a court smaller than a tennis court. It is a popular sport especially in Spain.
The Qatar Olympic Committee’s organisation of this event comes within the framework of strengthening its role in social responsibility and raising awareness of the importance of practicing sport for a healthy and disease-free life.
