Sri Lanka NOC news bulletin focuses on new ‘Harassment is No Game’ campaign

Colombo, Sri Lanka, October 20, 2020: The Sri Lanka National Olympic Committee has issued the 36th edition of its weekly news bulletin “Good Sport”.

With a dateline of Monday, October 19, the new edition provides details on the NOC’s recent campaign “Harassment is No Game” led by the Women’s Committee.

The article is supported by some eye-catching artwork to draw the public’s attention to the problems and prevalence of harassment in sport and the goal of “Safe Sport” for all.

There is also a moving tribute to a former NOC President (1980-1982), Mr Ranjit Weerasena, who passed away on October 13. He was known as “the Gentle Giant” and was well known and respected, particularly in athletics.

The NOC News section includes a reflection on the bronze medal success of steeplechase athlete Parami Wasanthi Maristella at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires two years ago.

The six pages of the e-newsletter are packed with interesting articles and pictures to reflect the many and varied activities of Sri Lanka NOC.
