Hong Kong, China NOC’s Festival of Sport encourages healthy lifestyle

Hong Kong, China, October 12, 2020: The 63rd Festival of Sport, organised by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, is an annual local mega sports event.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Opening Ceremony and Carnival, as well as many Festival of Sport events that were originally scheduled to be held from April, were cancelled.

Moving into October, the Festival will make its debut for a series of activities with the slogan "Sport for All, Together We Start OUR Fitness Journey" to encourage the public to stay active again post-COVID.

While maintaining social distancing, the public is encouraged to interact with family and friends, continue to exercise and carve their own path to a healthier and happier lifestyle.

This year, the Festival will utilise multi platforms to promote "Sport for All" and have appointed Tang Hon Sing (athletics), Vivian Ma Wing Yu (cycling), Sophia Wu (fencing) and Tong Yui Shing (sailing) to be the Ambassadors to encourage the public to join FOS activities and develop a good habit of regular exercises.

The key visual of this year's FOS is developed from the concept "Sports Meet on the Table". Three Ambassadors emerge in the world of sports using tableware, stationary and epidemic prevention materials on a dining table and desk.

The concept photos include Tang running over "Post-it" hurdle, Ma cycling on a road made of notebook and paper clips and Tong "sailing" on the dining table. Through these imaginative photos, the public is encouraged to be creative and enjoy sports with friends and family.
