Lahore, Pakistan, October 8, 2020: Nine winners were selected from 240 entries in an art competition organised by the Pakistan Olympic Association and the Olympic Heritage Commission to mark Olympic Day 2020.

The theme of the national art competition – ‘Paint Where You Train’, ‘Paint the Champions’ and ‘Paint Your Game’ - attracted young artists from all over the country who submitted paintings and sculptures.

Zainab Shaukat and Zainab Fatima, two members of the Olympic Heritage Commission, plus two art educators compiled an initial shortlist of 58 entries which went on display at Pakistan Olympic House.

A three-member jury then picked the winners. The jury comprised Kamran Lashari, chairman of the POA Olympic Heritage Commission, Ahmed Mallick, Secretary, POA Olympic Heritage Commission, and Ghulam Muhammad, an artist.

The President of the Pakistan Olympic Association, Lt. Gen (retd.) Syed Arif Hasan, will award prizes to the nine young winners at a ceremony to be held at Pakistan Olympic House in the near future.
