Jordan NOC hails ju-jitsu masters

Chungju, Korea, September 3, 2019: The Jordan Olympic Committee is celebrating a five-medal haul from its powerful ju-jitsu team at the 2019 Chungju World Martial Arts Masterships in Korea.

Pride of place went to Hussein Al-Rasheed, who secured a gold medal in the -85kg weight with a superb series of performances that culminated in a final victory over Kazakhstan’s Ruslan Israelov.

Basil Fanous won silver in the +85 kg while there were bronze medals for Haider Al-Rasheed (-85kg), Yara QaQish (-70kg) and Zaid Sami (bronze +85kg).

The event is running from August 30 to September 3.
