Malaysia NOC looks forward to close cooperation with National Olympic Academy

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, September 23, 2020: The Olympic Council of Malaysia's Education and Training Committee held its fifth committee meeting and Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) workshop on Wednesday, September 23.

The meeting, which was chaired by one of the OCM Vice Presidents, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Shamala Subramaniam, touched on important matters in raising the Education and Training Committee to a higher level.

Together with nine delegates who attended the meeting, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Shamala addressed several major issues such as the NOC Culture and Education Champions Network, Development of Olympic Education Kit, OCM Education Webinar Series, Research and Development in Olympic Education and the National Olympic Academy.

The nine delegates were: Mr. Nicholas Chan (Director of National Olympic Academy), Dato’ Zaiton Othman (member), Dato’ Marina Chin (member), Ms. Moira Tan Siew See (member), Ms. Shalin Zulkifli (member), Mr. Mohd Safrusahar Yusoff (National Sports Council), Ms. Rajeswari Raman (National Sports Institute), Mr. Georgie Goh (Ministry of Education) and Ms. Michelle Chai (Chief Operating Officer, Olympic Council of Malaysia).

The OCM would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Nicholas Chan on his new appointment as Director of the National Olympic Academy. The OCM looks forward to working closely with Mr. Chan and to strengthening the NOA–OCM cooperation.
