Asian NOCs look forward to Hangzhou 2022

Hangzhou, China, September 22, 2020: Asia's National Olympic Committees have displayed their enthusiasm for the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China in 2022 by joining in the festivities of the two-year countdown.

The 19th Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China, from September 10-25, 2022. On the occasion of two years to go to the opening ceremony on September 10, Asia's 45 NOCs were asked to share in the celebration and proudly display the special logo.

The International Relations Department of the Hangzhou 2022 Organising Committee sent a two-year countdown poster to Asia’s 45 NOCs and encouraged them to promote the Hangzhou Asian Games 2022 in their sports communities to bring the Games to everyone’s attention.

Many NOCs have responded, posting the occasion on their official website, newsletter and social media and further expanding the prestige of the Games.

"The NOCs are one of the key stakeholders of the Olympic Movement and responsible for organising Olympic sports missions in their own country and region," said a HAGOC statement.

"Their support and participation are key to the success of Hangzhou 2022. As of today there are 45 NOC members in the Olympic Council of Asia. The NOC Relations Team of Hangzhou 2022 will keep up the communication with NOCs to update them on Games preparations in the two years to come."
