Amman, Jordan, September 7, 2020: The Jordan Olympic Committee executive office has announced that sporting activities, including national teams training, can resume from Sunday, September 6.

The decision was taken in coordination with the Jordan Sports Medicine Federation and follows a two-week stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Jordan Olympic Committee said new health protocols would have to be strictly adhered to including COVID-19 tests for athletes, coaches, administrators and referees 72 hours prior to any sporting activity.

These health guidelines have been distributed to all National Sports Federations. The JOC, accompanied by medical and government officials, will also carry out regular checks to sporting venues to ensure these measures are being adhered to.
