Tehran, Iran, August 21, 2020: The Iran Taekwondo Federation, in collaboration with the Scientific Union of Sport Management and Azad University of Karaj province, will hold the fourth national and first international seminar on taekwondo virtually on World Taekwondo Day - September 4.
The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran said sports and taekwondo experts from all over the world would be able to join in this international scientific seminar.
The main focus of the seminar will be on challenges and opportunities of taekwondo in the coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers are calling for abstract submissions to the secretariat in the following subjects: physiology, nutrition, motor development, technology and innovations, psychological studies, management and economy in taekwondo.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Taekwondo Federation has launched a new application for taekwondo in the presence of senior officials as well as active and retired champions.
Among those in attendance were Dr. Mahdi Alinezhad, Vice Minister of Development of High-Performance Sports of the Ministry of Sport and Youth; Alireza Khosravi, General Manager of Federations' Common Affairs; and Seyyed Mohammad Pooladgar, President of the Iran Taekwondo Federation.
The app, called the TaekApp, aims to provide easy and quick access for the taekwondo family to latest news, announcements, exams and online events, training and coordination courses, teaching forms and related measures.
