Dushanbe, Tajikistan, August 16, 2020: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Archery Federation of the country has launched a comprehensive development programme for the sport.
The programme will be implemented in three stages with the support of Olympic Solidarity and the World Archery Federation.
The first stage will involve a detailed study and analysis of the activities of the local federation and its regional representations, the development of a modern structure for the federation - including financing and management in the framework of national and international requirements - and a development strategy for the next three years.
In the second phase, online training courses for judges will be conducted with the involvement of international experts.
The final stage will be a 10-day training course for coaches and athletes. The programme will also result in archery equipment purchased for the federation.
The programme was launched at a seminar held from August 5 to 9 in Khujand with the participation of representatives of the Archery Federation from the Sughd region. Similar seminars are planned in Khatlon and Dushanbe which will result in the formation of regional federations.
