Gender Equity Committee
The Gender Equity Committee consist of One Chairperson and Five Members. The Chairperson, nominated by her NOC, will be elected by the GA, while the Members preferably representing the 5 zones of the OCA will be selected by the EB from the Candidates who have been nominated by their respective NOCs.
The Chairperson and Members will hold office for a term of four years. The Chairperson will be a Member of the EB.
This Committee will be responsible for:
a. assisting in the development of female activities at the AG and at such other opportunities as might be supported by the Council;
b. emphasizing the importance of women in sports and to assist in its promotion among NOCs in Asia;
c. co-operating with existing sports organizations and to help form others in Asia;
d. fostering and promoting the values of sports among Women;
e. the meetings of the Gender Equity Committee will be held as decided by the Chairperson with the prior approval of the President.
